Brief description of features implemented in the current stable version

File formats

With DiffReader you currently may browse files in Rich Text Format (RTF), plain text and HTML files. Capability of the program depends on the file format.

Alternative style of reading

For those who enjoy speed reading or want to learn it, special "Brainstamp" mode is implemented for reading RTF and HTML files. In this mode text is flashed word by word with ajustable speed and layout. As the result the user has no time to "pronounce" words in his mind. In stead he is forced to recognize whole words. This speeds up reading several times and results in much better memorizing. Of course, you will have to study pictures and tables of the document in normal mode.

Some cool features

• Dragging of documents icon onto the icon of DiffReader will open the document
• Dragging an executable program's icon onto the DiffReader icon will couse the DiffReader attempts to opent this application's help file.
• While reading a document in normal mode you may wish to make citations. Here you are! Simply select the citation with mouse, and press [?] [SHIFT]-C and this fragment will be appended to the editable clipboard, with all formatting preserved, and the source of citation carefully described.
• Autobrowsing in normal mode makes reading much more comfortable. Again, here speed of autoscrolling may be ajustaed.
• Even for plain taxt documents DiffReader attempts to deduce document structure which is displayed in separate window and simplifies significantly document navigation. For the purists distracted by that window, it is still possible to get rid of it.
• BTW If you want to enjoy all features of DiffReader with PDF files, open a file in Acrobat Reader 5 and save as... in RTF format! Nothing can be simpler...
